Flower Vase

The form of natural phenomena created by the workings of nature, along with the vast memory information generated by life—including plants, living creatures, and even the invisible microscopic forms of life—has been transformed into a three-dimensional vase. The surface is adorned with manganese glaze and platinum, showcasing a universal beauty.

Tea Ceremony

utakatachawan.jpg
utakata37.jpg

In the Japanese tea ceremony, the space of the tea room seems to contain yin and yang, a world of nothingness that transcends life and death. That is why it has attracted people since ancient times. I have created each of my utensils with the idea that the moment when one drinks tea is the moment when one experiences the brightness and joy of living in the present moment.

The world is made like flowing water.

Water undulates and flows freely from high to low. It is a trait that we are born with, and it is there just as it is. I created this work in the hope that it will express the state of the soul and its radiance, just as it is.

The world is made like flowing water.

Water flows freely from high places to low places, undulating as it goes. In this, we see the natural state of things as they are, embodying their inherent characteristics. I created this piece with the hope that people, too, will express and live according to their passions and strengths, just as they naturally wish to.

Divine energy

There are various forms of energy in the universe. I have manifested that energy in the form of a deity statue.

The cycle of life, where life is born, eventually dies, and returns to the earth, has been repeated since ancient times. While the cycle of life and death repeats, the fundamental soul never perishes, even if its form changes. I expressed and materialized the energy that drives this cycle of life as a goddess statue that transcends time and space.

Many of the words that are constantly stirring and whispering and screaming in our bodies are thoughts. Sometimes, the delicate voice deep within, the voice of our soul, is drowned out by our thoughts and strong cries, and we are unaware of our own true feelings. However, I have expressed my true feelings as “inner voices” and “individual vessels” in the form of three-dimensional works, because they are the true form of the individual. But, I feel that there is a deeper, quieter voice. Are you aware that there is a deeper, quieter voice? The voice of the universe, the voice of the source of all things, is quietly whispering to me.

酒器 (2).jpeg

A vessel in which food is served for a meal. In the world of Japanese cuisine, a vessel is referred to as the "kimono" of the dish. I crafted these vessels with the intention of enhancing the beauty of the food, thereby providing joy and inspiration to those who partake in the meal.

Flower

Since ancient times, many artists have used flowers as a metaphor for people and life, and I also wanted to create beautiful flowers. Looking down from the universe, people are very small, but each one is a unique life. I created a figure of a person blooming gracefully as a flower in this vast universe.

Parallel World

yoko.JPG
DSC09184.JPG

There is one world that we perceive and experience, but

the moment I imagine that there are several choices, that imagined world is a multiverse that exists independently.

When I choose one of these imagined patterns, I live in that world.

However, the worlds of other imagined patterns that are not selected exist as parallel worlds and form another world. I have given form to a parallel world that can continue to form indefinitely.

What protects the mind (inner self)?

This question gave birth to the subject of "boundaries.

We live in a world that at first glance seems cruel. The media is full of tragic stories, the world is in chaos, and we are driven by anxiety.

Assuming that the human body, regardless of race, age, or gender, is a box, what protects the inside of that box (the mind)? For some people, the boundary that protects the heart may be pride, or religion or philosophy may be the last line of defense. I believe that by rediscovering the existence that supports one's heart, one can become stronger. I hope my work will help you to look at your own "boundaries.
